Welcome to Capitol Clay Arts Company
Visit us at 512 D Street in charming South Charleston, West Virginia. We are located just two blocks behind the historic Mound with easy access from I-64.

While here, you can take advantage of free 2-hour on-street parking or unlimited parking in one of two conveniently located city lots.

From points North, East or South

• As you enter Charleston, merge onto I-64W towards Huntington.
• Cross the Kanawha River and continue on I-64W to Exit 56/Montrose Drive.
• At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Montrose (get in the left hand lane) and continue to the intersection directly in front of the Dow Chemical plant.
• Turn left onto MacCorkle Avenue, staying in the left hand lane and proceed to the next signal light (Rite-Aid will be on your right and the Mound, a tall Indian burial mound, on your left).
• At the light, turn left onto Ashby Avenue and curve around to the back of the Mound to the 3-way stop.
• Turn left onto D Street. Capitol Clay Arts Company is located mid-ways down the second block. Look for the red Family Dollar awning,; we are located beneath the bright blue awning just before it.

From points West

• From I-64E, take exit 54/MacCorkle Avenue/Route 60.
• At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto MacCorkle Ave./Route 60E and continue approximately 1.5 miles, staying in the right hand lane.
• Just past Joe Holland Chevrolet, you’ll see the Mound on your right; proceed to the signal light just past the Mound and turn right onto Ashby Avenue, curving around to the back of the Mound to the 3-way stop.
• Turn left onto D Street. Capitol Clay Arts Company is located mid-ways down the second block. Look for the red Family Dollar awning, we are located beneath the bright blue awning just before it.
